Arbitration Commission
The Arbitration Commission mediates in disputes between members of the university and makes decisions on complaints made by the Equal Opportunities Working Party. Any issue can be submitted to the Arbitration Commission for mediation. In addition to the Equal Opportunities Working Party, the Arbitration Commission can also be contacted by individuals. It offers support and advice and can organize mediation sessions if asked to do so by those affected. The Arbitration Commission is bound by a duty of confidentiality.
Conflict Resolution Counselling Office
The Conflict resolution Counselling Office offers individual support for work-related problems through individual counselling, mediation or team counselling. It is confidential, with no obligation and can provide support for difficult conversations.
Equal Opportunities Working Party
The Equal Opportunities Working Party offers advice, support and assistance if you are dealing with sexual harassment, discrimination or bullying. The working party is a collegial body that is independent and free from instructions. Your information will be kept strictly confidential and will only be passed on to the relevant body with your consent. You can contact the office, any member of the working party or the member responsible for your faculty or centre by phone, in writing or via email, both as someone affected and as a witness.
Occupational Psychology
The Occupational Psychology team will advise you on psychological stress in the workplace and support you in identifying and assessing the reasons behind work-related health risks and high workloads in order to derive actions that will improve your work environment. The Work Psychology team supports both individual employees (whether or not they are in a management position) and teams in finding solutions, or until a transfer to other forms of counselling or coaching is available.
Sexual Harassment & Bullying Counselling Office
The Sexual Harassment & Bullying Counselling Office offers psychological counselling for individuals who are affected by sexual harassment, discrimination and bullying. The service is available to all members of the university. Contact the counselling office if you are personally affected by or have witnessed bullying and/or sexual harassment or if you want to take preventive measures within your team. The psychological support service is confidential. Nothing discussed will be passed on to other bodies. You can also use the service anonymously.
Works Council for the General University Staff
The works council represents the interests of all non-academic staff to the employer. It also offers advice on labour law and support in specific cases of unequal treatment, sexual harassment, discrimination, bullying or conflict. It maintains confidentiality and will only act with your consent.
